Digital murals - MAPP x Quartier des spectacles | MAPP_MTL Festival 2024
GRATUITOnce again this year, the festival returns to the Quartier des spectacles with two spectacular digital murals co-produced with the Partenariat du Quartier des spectacles: one on the façade of the Saint-Laurent metro station, created by artist Dalkhafine, and the other on the façade of UQAM's Président-Kennedy pavilion, created by Thaïla Khampo.
📍Varnissage Tuesday, September 24 at 7:30 p.m. near the Saint-Laurent metro station in the Quartier des spectacles district.
Dalkhafine (Metro Saint-Laurent) French-Canadian based between Paris and Montreal, Dalkhafine distinguishes herself as a multidisciplinary artist. After experience in live shows and animated films, she developed a singular artistic universe, characterized by collaborations with brands (Adobe, Adidas, Redbull) and musical artists (Jain, Pharrell). Inspired by the 90s and guided by her desire to convey a positive message, her work is marked by the use of bright colors and black outlines. Whatever the field she explores, her love of art and drawing remains the common thread. Whether through art direction, illustration, motion design or painting, she approaches each medium as an infinite playground for her creativity. https://www.instagram.com/dalkhafine/
His work Perspectives is about the horizon, what we see in the distance. They are windows that open onto new frontiers, known or unknown. It's our way of seeing, understanding and enjoying the world. Welcome to a 2-minute contemplative visual tale, created by artist Dalkhafine, combining motion design and poetry.
Thaïla Khampo (President Kennedy Pavilion) Thaïla Khampo is a Montreal-based illustrator. He like patterns, mystery, beautiful stories, naive art, caustic humour, simplicity, and images that tell a narrative. https://thailakhampo.net/
His work l'Heure Bleue is a look at the time, light and space that surround us. It's also an invitation to contemplate fleeting moments.
