As part of the MAPP festival, you'll be able to discover the Station de l'Avenir during the evening. A mobile, solar-powered digital creation station, the result of a collaboration between MAPP_MTL and studio Gentilhomme and Robocut Studio. As part of an interactive workshop, it will collect participants' animations and drawings and turn them into a projection: a colorful light show.

CALL FOR PARTICIPANTS - MINUTE_MAPP 2024

MAPP_MTL invites you to participate in MINUTE_MAPP to be presented September 26 and 28, 2024 at the Van Horne Skatepark in Montreal as part of the 9th edition of the MAPP_MTL festival.

MINUTE_MAPP is an open platform for the expression and exploration of new ideas in the form of 60-second mapping projections. The creative surface is the façade of the iconic Million Tapis et Tuiles in front of the Van Horne Skatepark, and this year's theme is PERSPECTIVES.

A prestigious jury will award a prize to their favorite MINUTE_MAPP. The event will also be broadcast online, where the audience can vote for the People's Choice Award.

MINUTE_MAPP was launched in Montreal in 2013 and features a diverse range of creators from different backgrounds, many of whom are experimenting with this form of creation for the first time.

Presented by MAPP_MTL, this nocturnal activity invites you, as soon as the sun goes down, to an immersive bike ride, where digital creativity will illuminate the streets of Montreal thanks to the works of artist Maylee Keo.

📍 On Saturday, September 21 at 7pm, join artist Maylee Keo for a Cyclo_MAPP promenade in the alley between Waverly and Saint-Urbain. The route stretches from rue St-Viateur to rue Bernard. You'll discover this alley transformed by this talented artist's captivating mapping projections for a magical moment!

Cyclo_MAPP promenade with artist Maylee Keo

On Saturday, September 21 at 7pm, join artist Maylee Keo for a Cyclo_MAPP promenade in the alley between Waverly and Saint-Urbain.

As part of the international projection mapping festival - MAPP_MTL 2024, from September 24 to October 13 discover the MICRO_MAPP exhibition at Le Livart with artists Étienne Varin, Dalkhafine and Thaïla Khampo. The theme of the exhibition will be Perspectives, an invitation to question, to explore the labyrinths of consciousness and to embrace the infinite wealth of interpretations.

**Étienne Varin**
Conductor of light, sound and image, who draws his inspiration from the beauty of butterfly wings, the iridescence of oil puddles and the refraction of water drops. Always on the lookout for out-of-the-ordinary mediums in which to exhibit not just what pleases the eye, but above all what pleases the heart. What's important is to catalyze emotions in the viewer, to resonate with their colorful intentions, and to touch the eyes of those who take the time to observe.

Tape Mapping merges traditional mural art with technology, metamorphosing simple outlines into a series of vibrant and captivating compositions. A succession of animated projections will paint the mural, transforming its static patterns into an evolving, three-dimensional, and mesmerizing environment.

**Dalkhafine**
French-Canadian based between Paris and Montreal, Dalkhafine distinguishes herself as a multidisciplinary artist. After experience in live shows and animated films, she developed a singular artistic universe, characterized by collaborations with brands (Adobe, Adidas, Redbull) and musical artists (Jain, Pharrell). Inspired by the 90s and guided by her desire to convey a positive message, her work is marked by the use of bright colors and black outlines. Whatever the field she explores, her love of art and drawing remains the common thread. Whether through art direction, illustration, motion design or painting, she approaches each medium as an infinite playground for her creativity.

On Wednesday, September 25, from 5.30pm to 10pm, the 2nd edition of the Inter-Studio Augmented Table Ping-Pong Tournament will take place at Moment Factory studios.🪩 For this event, DJ Chevyvan will take you into a 90s-inspired musical vibe, and we invite you to melt into the atmosphere in style!

This fun-filled event, organized by MAPP_MTL in collaboration with Moment Factory as part of the 9th edition of the MAPP_MTL Festival, aims to bring together digital creativity studios in a convivial setting to officially determine which studio is the best at ping-pong.

All funds raised for the evening will be donated to the non-profit organization MAPP_MTL to support the production of its activities.
