INTERNSHIP OFFER - Project coordinator

MAPP is looking for a project coordinator who is new to the city or a first-generation immigrant, looking to integrate into Montreal's professional milieu at the intersection of arts and technology.

MAPP_MTL is looking for an intern to help us with the cultural and social enrichment of the impact our festival can have on the Montreal region. The intern will provide organizational, communicative and logistical support to MAPP_MTL and contribute to the growth of our professional relationships formed over the 8 years of MAPP_MTL's existence.

By assisting MAPP_MTL's administrative core while expanding its collaborative horizons, this internship will facilitate significant symbiotic growth between the artists, cultural organizations and patrons with whom MAPP_MTL has already or will be forging ties. This is an excellent professional development opportunity for a passionate and determined individual who has adopted Montreal as their new home; it's also a great chance to increase the chances of the artistic and cultural serendipities that give Montreal its international reputation.

The intern's main duties will be to :

-Follow all stages of MAPP_MTL's cultural projects and activities -Communicate with arts professionals, at their discretion, within the framework of MAPP_MTL's mandate, for the pre-existing objectives of MAPP_MTL's administration, for MAPP_MTL's marketing and development objectives, and for the intern's own interests in expanding their professional network in Montreal. -Coordinate, between MAPP_MTL and all relevant partners and collaborators, the logistical production of various events throughout the year to ensure their success, making good use of their experiential knowledge of event coordination, as well as the knowledge passed on to them by MAPP_MTL members. -Research and develop new avenues of artistic collaboration that MAPP_MTL had not previously considered or been able to pursue, by applying its innovative mentality and culturally diverse perspective, not only to broaden the potential social impact of MAPP_MTL's activities, but also to exhilarate all its collaborators in order to generate a positive chain reaction throughout Montreal's cultural arts and technology milieu. -Software management and configuration (mainly ticketing) -Coordinate the technical needs and practices of artists & partners -Help ensure the smooth running of events on site in Montreal.
