Founded in 2016 by artist Thien Vu Dang, MAPP is a creative organization whose main mission is to promote the development of projection mapping while offering a showcase for local talent.
By organizing a festival, events and workshops throughout the year that focus on creative innovation, MAPP_MTL is positioning itself as an active player involved in the promotion of this emerging practice, opening a true inclusive dialogue between inhabitants, artists and their neighborhood.
Louis-Richard Tremblay is the director of the new innovation lab at the National Film Board of Canada (NFB). Previously, he served as the executive producer of the Interactive Studio. He began his first producer role at the NFB in 2013, after leading projects and managing creative and technological teams for CBC/Radio-Canada, notably at Bande à part and regional services. Enthralled by the transformative power of media creation in all its forms, he has overseen numerous international co-productions at the NFB, contributing to the production of dozens of award-winning works in Canada and abroad. He regularly participates in panels, conferences, and masterclasses. He is driven by the joy of collaborating with people who combine their strengths to push the boundaries of their art to find new ways to see and understand our complex world.
Philippe U. del Drago has been active in the Arts and Culture sector for over twenty years, where he focuses on building connections between artists and their audiences. With expertise in managing cultural enterprises across diverse fields such as classical music, theater, dance, and technological arts, he is deeply passionate about artistic creation and its processes. A graduate of the National Institute of Image and Sound (INIS) in film production and holding a master's degree in administration, he has developed a career as a designer, producer, videographer, photographer, and creative director, leading him to work on documentary projects across five continents.
Antoine Saint Maur is a multimedia artist and creative director specializing in interactive experiential installations. His work pushes the boundaries of immersive experience and storytelling across diverse platforms such as film, music, live performance, VR/AR applications, and public interactive installations that connect people with each other and their environment. Antoine Saint Maur has been part of the MAPP team since its very first edition and contributes to the festival's board by offering his support and expertise.
Francois is passionate about media, content, and sustainable innovation. He wears many hats in the connected content industry and is an expert in service personalization. As the President of PLAN B Développement Inc, he serves as a principal advisor in application content experience, oversees multidisciplinary teams, and is always seeking revenue sources for his client partners. He participated in the first Canadian Smart Home conference in 2013 in Toronto. He is a Senior Innovation Advisor in Digital Identity for the Francophone market at DIACC and NUMANA (formerly Techno Montreal) in Building and Empathic Neighborhoods. He is also active in the transportation electrification industry, focusing on connected services in V2H and V2G. With over 25 years of strategic planning and account management experience in the digital media sector (PTM, Palm Publicité, Publicis, IBM, BT, Radio-Canada, ONF, Volkswagen, LVL Studio, L’Oréal, Bell/Sympatico, ONF, Pelmorex, Bell Canada, Telus, Videotron, AT&T), he is also a regular speaker at events on Smart City & Smart Building and at MIT on the future of television and application content, including digital entrepreneurship coaching in Casablanca, Morocco with the FSVC.
Laurence Dolbec (she/her) is an associate producer at the National Film Board of Canada (NFB) and has been working at the interactive studio in Montreal since 2019. With over fifteen years of production experience, she has contributed to some of Quebec's most creative institutions, including Place des Arts, TOHU, and C2 Montreal/International. She began her career in New York, working for Livestream, now known as Vimeo. Her diverse background has equipped her with a unique production perspective, enabling the realization of exceptional projects, regardless of format.
Dynamic, meticulous, creative, and organized, Eric stands out for his efficiency, analytical mind, and attentive listening skills. With an academic background in Business Administration and Accounting (BAA and DESSCP at HEC-Montreal), Eric began his career at an accounting firm before moving into the banking sector. Having held various positions in Accounting, Finance, and Marketing from 2000 to 2020, he transitioned to real estate brokerage (CEI – Montreal), where he has been working since 2020. He is passionate about numbers, art, design, architecture, and travel. His knowledge and expertise gained over the years through his diverse roles make him an exceptional advisor, with a knack for having a global vision and a sharp analytical mind. His various skills and his interest in art in all its forms (he is an artist-painter in his spare time) will be utilized in achieving and monitoring objectives, as well as fulfilling our mandate to promote the development of projection mapping while showcasing local talent.
As a lawyer specializing in innovation law, Mr. Lapierre co-founded and led companies in data hosting and digital services for over twenty years. In this capacity, he has supported numerous prominent organizations in Canada and abroad. His areas of expertise include digital technology, data governance, and augmented intelligence. Today, Mr. Yves Lapierre leverages innovation to benefit social impact projects related to culture, such as La Vitrine and Culturepédia. He has been a member of the Quebec Bar since 1990.
Danny Perreault is a professor and the head of the Bachelor's program in Immersive and Interactive Experience Creation (ceXii) at the School of Media (EDM) at UQAM. His research-creation practice focuses on collaborative processes and digital scenography. His work manifests in various forms, including light scenography, video-laser installations, and interactive works displayed in public spaces. He also engages in and explores collaborative creative approaches, such as electronic and audiovisual jams. He is a co-founder of the Media Creation Research Group Beyond the Human (mXlab) and a co-researcher member of the international research-creation network in arts, cultures, and technologies, Hexagram.

Jennifer-Ann has been active in the local and international cultural and event industry for nearly 20 years. She holds a degree in cultural organization management from HEC Montréal, a degree in cultural animation and research from UQAM | Université du Québec à Montréal, and a degree in media arts communication from the University of San Francisco. She has collaborated with the Quartier des Spectacles Partnership in Montréal, the Montreal Museum of Fine Arts, the McCord Stewart Museum, and for Montréal's 375th anniversary. More recently, she excelled as the Deputy General Manager of CanadaFBM2020, where she led Canada's presence as the guest of honour in Germany. Currently, as the Director of Strategic Development at La Vitrine, she also chairs the board of Transthéâtre, Brigitte Poupart's creative company.
Thien Vu Dang est actif sur la scène des arts numériques depuis 2001. Son parcours l'a amené de la Société des arts technologiques (SAT) aux studios Moment Factory. Thien Vu a cofondé les SAT_MIX_SESSIONS, les Minutes, MINUTE_MAPPING et plus récemment en 2016, MAPP_MTL, le festival international de projection mapping de Montréal. Il est a été membre du conseil d’administration du Conseil des arts de Montréal en 2022 et 2023 où il a présidé le comité des arts numériques. Thien Vu organise aussi des événements culturels autour de la culture japonaise et coréenne.
Pauline Barthe is deeply engaged with the ongoing transformations in the creative and cultural industries. With over a decade of experience in cultural communication and marketing, she focuses her collaborations on digital cultures and technologies, digital creation, new media, music, contemporary digital art, and innovation. For several years, she has worked with cultural organizations and festivals across Europe and Canada, including MAPP_MTL, MUTEK, ELEKTRA, Printemps Numérique, École des Arts Décoratifs de Paris, Institut Français de Lisbonne, the International Symposium on Electronic Art – ISEA, and the French Film Festival in Lisbon.
