Charlotte Risch (QC/CA) KITANA is the avatar of Franco-Japanese visual artist and VJ Charlotte Risch. Influenced by her past as a guitarist in metal and punk rock bands, KITANA's style is in constant relationship with her musical experience. The creation of textures and rhythms are part of her musical background, and continue to exist in the form of visuals.
She mixes different techniques; filmed images, original shapes and colorful designs, assembled into collages that not only stimulate the eye, but appeal to our memories, and take us into singular worlds. Her style is fast, intense, and charming, audience-aware, and aimed at elevating an event to the scale of an audiovisual experience.
