LUMINA & SENS — Romain Bécourt & Fili Gibbons

Lumina & Sens is a joint artistic research, exploring the language of colors, words, sound and meanings. This multidisciplinary performance brings together light, chromatic nuances, sound worlds and poetry. The work is created in real time: images and sounds are transformed in front of the audience like a living process.

📅 Saturday, October 4, 2025 — 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Workshop open to the public: a space for sound and visual co-creation in a collaborative approach.

📅 Friday, October 10, 2025 — 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
Residency and performance outing, highlighting this performative research.

📍 Caserne 26 (3rd floor), 2149 Mont-Royal Avenue E, Montreal

A multidisciplinary artist and cultural mediator, Romain Bécourt (he/him) explores a universe where visual, sonic and poetic abstraction intersect. Inspired by impressionism, which captures fleeting moments and the luminous variations of the natural world, he transposes this research into abstract painting where perception is at the heart of explorations.

Fili Gibbons (us/you/ielles) is an interdisciplinary sound artist and sound engineer whose work integrates post-classical cello performance, electronic production, improvisation, and body practices. Their approach weaves links between ancestral memory and speculative sound worlds, integrated into immersive audiovisual experiences and live performances.

A contemplative and sensitive experience, which invites us to slow down and question our relationship with time.

This project is carried out with the financial support of the Government of Québec and the City of Montréal under the Montréal Cultural Development Agreement.
